There are some persons, who by virtue of their faithful and effective leadership, transcend their particular church community to become leaders for all Christians.Archbishop Anastasios Yannoulatos is such a figure. This collections of his essays deserves to be read by all Christians who care about the theology and practice of mission. All readers will surely be challenged by the Archbishop's vision of mission "in Christ's way."">

In Archbishop Anastasios’ view, the key word "mission" ... means to give witness to the Trinitarian God, who calls upon the human being to salvation, and binds them to the the Church, human beings who don’t belong to it or have lost their connection to her. Today, the field of the Christian mission is not just the area of faraway regions, of the so-called third world, but the entire world (p. 191).
