We appreciate your donation to the monastery. St. Barbara Orthodox Monastery is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. Many often ask how they can help the monastery. One can always help by praying, volunteering time and talents, and patronising the monastery's bookstore and giftshop. One can also make a monetary donation to support our monastery's growing community by donating online or mailing a check to the monastery.
 We are currently in the process of building a chapel and expanding the monastery's living quarters. View photos of our ongoing construction here.

Your gifts-in-kind are also very much appreciated to cover the our many needs. Gift cards to places like Costco and Home Depot are especially useful to the monastery. The following is a partial list of needs:
Wish List
Current Needs: Used pick up truck or car. Used books-- Orthodox, classics, literature, history, etc. --for our book sales.
On-going Needs: Paper goods, olive oil, bottled water, staples (flour, sugar, coffee, tea, etc.), cleaning supplies.
Miscellaneous: Frequent Flyer Miles, gift cards from Costco, Trader Joe's, Vons, Lowes, Office Depot, Amazon.com**
Volunteers: House staining (exterior), tree trimming, brass polishing, gathering up dead branches in our wooded area, gardening, weeding, log splitting, wood-chipping and mulching.
**These can often be purchased below cost on e-Bay and Craigslist.
