St. Barbara Orthodox Monastery is a women's monastic community of the Diocese of the West of the Orthodox Church in America, under the omophorion of His Eminence, Archbishop BENJAMIN. The Monastery was founded in 1992 and has been located in Santa Paula, California, since late 2005. We strive daily to live out the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ in community, seeking to love God and neighbor through prayer, hospitality and labor. Latest News ***February 3rd, 2023 We will have a Divine Liturgy on Sunday, February 5th, and pilgrims are welcomed to join us. However, as there is still sickness in the monastery house, the main house remains closed. ***January 25th, 2023

The myrrh-streaming Hawaiian Iveron icon will be visiting our monastery tomorrow, Sunday, Dec. 18th! We anticipate that the icon will arrive sometime in the early to mid-afternoon. Friends are invited to join the sisters to welcome the Mother of God and venerate this miraculous icon which will be brought to us by the newly ordained Fr. Nectarios Yangson.
